The mission of the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra is to foster the musical education of middle school orchestral musicians and provide opportunities for them to create and appreciate excellence in music.

PYSO is a community of students, parents, volunteers, artists, administrators, and board members dedicated to this goal. We strive to foster the musical and personal growth of every musician and to provide an integrated program of musical education designed to enhance every student’s preparation for opportunities beyond Prelude Strings and PYSO.
